I am an NLP Coach and Clinical Psychologist, with previous experience in international development. I am also a certified Holotropic Breath-work Facilitator and a trained Brennan Healing Practitioner.
My psychology background means that my coaching style is integrative, addressing at depth any roadblocks my clients may face, helping to create lasting and tangible change in their lives.
Striving to understand human psyche and how we develop, heal and grow has always been my driving force. However, my path has not been a straightforward one. After dedicating the first decade of my adult life to building a successful career at the UN in Geneva, working in trade development, I decided to go back to school and dive into my true passion - human growth and development. Thus I embarked on a personal and professional growth journey, through a mix of academic and experiential trainings, that changed my life and my career forever.
I studied and completed Clinical and Affective Psychology, at the University of Geneva in Switzerland, both at bachelors and masters levels. I also qualified as an NLP Coach with the Academy of Leadership Coaching and NLP, in San Francisco, US. I found the programme highly transformative, and so decided to pursue NLP Coaching and to use these powerful tools to support my clients on their journeys.
In addition, I completed an intensive 4-year programme at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, in Austria. This training was essential for my own process, and taught me to work with clients by paying attention to all of their aspects: mental, emotional, physical, energetic and spiritual. I am also a certified Holotropic Breathwork Facilitator. This work introduced me to transpersonal and archetypal dimensions of the human psyche and sparked my interest in working with meditative and non-ordinary states of consciousness.
It is always exciting to support coaching clients on their journeys and witness their transformation. I coach clients in six life areas, in which I have personally experienced deep transformation, and can therefore offer support both from a place of professional competence as well as experiential knowing.
Alongside my coaching practice, I have counselled teenagers and adults at a drug addiction treatment centre in the Cape Flats, South Africa, an area notorious for gang and drug issues. As well as working with clients struggling with substance addiction, I also worked with their families. My work included one-on-one sessions, couple and family sessions, and conducting psycho-educational workshops and support groups.
Furthermore, I also worked on a pro bono basis with a women's shelter for abused women and children in Cape Town, supporting adult abuse survivors. I conducted individual therapy and coaching, taught psycho-educational modules on abuse recovery, and ran women's support groups.
Through my work I've supported ambitious professionals in affluent Geneva, as well as abuse survivors and drug addicts in one of South Africa's roughest areas. This has introduced me to a depth and richness of life I had never imagined to encounter.
I really enjoy doing what I do as I never cease to learn, discover and grow, and I get to support clients who are motivated by their deep desire to transform and create a more fulfilling and exciting reality for themselves.
